Kudos to Awful Announcing for finding this gem of a video. In this clip you will see Edwin Baptiste of Morgan State make what could possibly be the greatest catch I have ever seen in my life. It will be hard for anyone to top this one. Enjoy!
With ESPN going live for Sportscenter in the mornings, there are bound to be moments where slip ups happen. I think we’ve caught our first. Along with Sean Salisbury calling him a crypt keeper, John Clayton busting ass while talking about Derek Anderson has to be one of his finest moments on camera. Did someone step on a duck? Must be the barking spiders.
I’ve never been to a sporting event that’s been marred by a missed skydive. Whether it’s bowl games or those badass Leapfrogs, most of us assume every jump will go smoothly. That hasn’t been the case the last couple weeks. First, a skydiver that was supposed to deliver the game ball into a University of North Carolina football game misjudged his jump and ended up… landing at Duke. And now, here’s a video of a botched landing at a Minor League Baseball game.
The skydiver is reportedly okay, so we can all have a nice laugh at this.

Over the past week and a half, there’s been tons of talk about Michael Phelps’ performance at the Olympics; his eight gold medals, his world records, and his eating habits. Most people wondered how in the hell Phelps could shovel down 12,000 calories a day in food without having his heart stop. Is it humanly possible to eat that much? Well, we put it to the test. Rich and Kevin from Sportable and Kyle, one of our loyal readers, attempted to tackle one of Phelps’ meals in a gold medal food competition. The results were less than world record worthy.
Kevin had breakfast, which was:
Three egg sandwiches
A five-egg omelet
A bowl of oatmeal (Phelps eats grits)
Three slices of French toast
Three chocolate chip pancakes
Two cups of coffee
Kyle had lunch:
One pound of pasta
Two ham sandwiches
One protein/energy shake
Rich had dinner:
One pound of pasta
A large supreme pizza
One protein/energy shake
Cincinnati’s channel 12 news station has an interesting gig they do on fridays if there’s no traffic incidents to report. Instead of cutting the segment short, they turn the studio into a dance party. It’s weird, i know. It gets even more weird when the Reds female mascot joins in on the party. God I’m glad Bob Herzog isn’t butchering the news in my city.
