It’s Official: Neifi Perez Has No Brain

Posted by rich on August 3, 2007

perezLess than a month ago, Tigers shortstop Neifi Perez tested positive for a banned substance and was suspended 25 games. You may remember Sportable running an article on Perez, mocking him for his stupidity. Well, it’s time to open up a can of smack talk again because Perez lacks anything resembling common sense.

If you ask me, Perez should be repeatedly kicked in the throat. Better yet, take something upside his head because he’s got absolutely nothing between his ears. It’s stupid for an athlete to get busted for a banned supplement once. It’s even worse for an athlete to be busted twice. Neifi Perez being busted for a third time defies humanity. It takes stupidity to a level previously only attained by the likes of Lawrence Phillips and Darryl Strawberry. I’ll pose the same question that I asked when Perez first was suspended; Why? Here’s a guy who hasn’t seen the field since the beginning of July and his .172 batting average scares absolutely nobody.

Hey Neifi, steroids won’t improve your hand-eye coordination. Steroids won’t ‘roid out your .172 batting average. And whatever you were taking sucks because you only have one home run on the year. Just one. Athletes find new and innovative ways to amaze me with ignorance, but this one might take the cake. Don’t do steroids. They test for that sort of thing now a days. If you get caught, take a hint and stop juicing. Neifi will have plenty of time to think about what he’s done. 80 games is a long time.

Perez Suspended 25 Games He Wouldn’t Have Played Anyways

Posted by rich on July 7, 2007

neifiDetroit Tigers short stop Neifi Perez was the first player?of the 2007 season to be suspended for a banned substance.? The 25 game suspension slapped on the chubby faced Perez is a result of him testing positive for a stimulant.

Stimulant?? For what?? The stimulant sure isn’t stimulating that .172 batting average over the 33 games he’s played this year.? Perez is one of those guys that I have lingering suspicions about doing steroids during the beginning of his career.? While he has clearly taken a nose dive in production, this guy was nuts with Colorado.? He was the guy that, when your team went into a three game series versus the Rockies, Perez would have been in the midst of a slump and would have immediatley snapped out of it during those three games.? Not so much anymore.

Perez is a jack ass.? Anyone, anyone, who tests positive for a banned substance in the majors now is a moron.? You know there’s a heavy suspension waiting for you.? You know the media is going to bastardize you.? You know your teammates aren’t going to stick up for you because you cheated.

While he sits his 25 games, the rest of the world will move on.? Who really cares about Neifi Perez anymore?? Judging by the four teams he’s played for over the past five years, not a whole lot of people give a shit.? While this won’t serve as a lesson to most athletes (face it, they’re idiots), it should serve as a lesson to Perez.? Retire.? You can’t even break the Mendoza Line when you’re on something.
