StyleWatch: Jerseys to Buy 3-6-08

lebronjersey123.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: LeBron James. This MVP race is heating up to be one of the most exciting ever. A couple days after Kobe Bryant dropped 52 on national television against the Mavs, King James lit up Madison Square Garden for 50 points and 10 assists, exiting the game to a standing ovation from Knicks “fans.”

favre-jersey.jpgSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Brett Favre. I wore my Favre jersey yesterday and received a lot of positive feedback from people. Favre will go down in my mind as the quarterback who played consistently well while I was growing up. Thanks for the memories, Brett!

jwRich’s Jersey to Buy: Javon Walker. For not having done much in Denver, Walker sure hit the big money. His 6 year $55 million contract is bigger than Randy Moss’ contract with the Patriots and Walker will be given the opportunity to once again prove he can be a number one receiver. The only problem he’ll face aside from nagging injuries and lack of motivation is getting JaMarcus Russell to throw him the ball.

pauuuuu.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: Pau Gasol. Since Gasol came over to the Lakers for Kwame Brown(!), the Lakers have lost once. He’s been the consistent 2nd scorer that the Lakers desperately needed. Not only has he played well, but his presence has also made Lamar Odom more comfortable in a lesser role.

muhammadpanthers.jpgSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Muhshin Muhammad. Finally some good news! Muhammad is going back to the Panthers. I loved “Moose” when he was tearing it up with Rodney Peete. Now he gets to roll in style with Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith. That right there is life after Grossman and Berrian.

brandonroy.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: Brandon Roy. The Blazers continue to be one of the big surprise teams in the league and it’s largely because of Roy’s efforts. The 2nd year player is averaging almost 20 points a game to go with nearly six assists and five rebounds. Roy will appear in his first All Star Game next weekend in New Orleans.

strahansuperbowl.jpgSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Michael Strahan. A perfect ending to a giant season for Michael Strahan. The defensive end can now retire with ease and look forward to the next stage in his life. You, on the other hand, have the opportunity to buy this Super Bowl edition to last you a lifetime.

cristiano-ronaldo.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese phenom keeps getting better. After scoring 17 goals during last year’s Premiership title run, Ronaldo has already scored 19 this year for United. At just 22 years old, the sky is the limit for him.

beastSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Michael Beasley. Beasley led the Wildcats over #2 Kansas with 25 points including a nice 4-4 effort from downtown. Many people wonder how long the freshman will stay at Kansas State. But for right now, they can just sit back and watch the the kid dominate.

tigerredpolo.jpgKevin’s Jersey to Buy: Tiger Woods. The only way to describe Tiger right now is unstoppable. He tore apart the field and the course last week at the Buick Open and most likely will do the same this week in Dubai. It’s fun to watch greatness.

blacktennisshirt.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: Roger Federer. What else can we say about Feds? Tennis’ giant is just two wins away from his 4th consecutive Australian Open title, which would tie him with Pete Sampras for the most Grand Slam titles ever. Yes, it’s true. Federer is really betterer.

plaxjersey123.gifSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Plaxico Burress. If there is one guy who is going to take down the Patriots by himself, it just might be Burress. His length will present problems for the New England defense, so make sure you grab your jersey in time for the game.

philip-rivers-jersey.jpgRyan’s Jersey to Buy: Philip Rivers. Rather than being a complete douche and focusing on Rivers’ passion for talking shit, I’m going to focus on what really counts: his play. In the Chargers’ two wins, Rivers has taken the Bolts on his back, throwing for almost 600 yards and posting a quarterback rating of 115.7.

favrejerseysdhfksdhjf.jpgSonny’s Jersey to Buy: Brett Favre. Just buy it and get it over with. You know you want one. Favre is making his 4th career appearance in the NFC Championship, this time in more surprising fashion. The Packers host another surprise team, the New York Giants, at the Frozen Tundra.

eliRich’s Jersey to Buy: Eli Manning. Well, here’s a first for Sportable. There’s one Manning left in the playoffs, and I’ll be damned it’s not Peyton. Eli has shown the past few weeks that he just might be a decent quarterback someday, leading the Giants to the NFC Championship game. No promises this weekend, but Giants executives have to like what they’ve seen from Mr. Manning

brady.jpgKevin’s Jersey to Buy: Tom Brady. Brady has lead his team to a perfect 17-0 record so far this season, and if you listen to everything that the national media says, then there is no doubt that he will lead them to a perfect 19-0 season. Mostly, I just didn’t want Tom to feel left out with all the other conference championship game quarterbacks being picked this week.
