We’re proud to announce that Sportable is celebrating its 2nd birthday today. We never thought things would work out so well since we launched this thing two years ago. January 17th has lots of sports ties. It’s Muhammad Ali’s 65th birthday. Happy birthday Cassius, you’re still the greatest. It’s also Don Zimmer’s birthday. Don is 76. Watching Yankee games still aren’t the same without the colorful Zimmer at bench coach. Brad Miller also turns 28 today. But nobody cares about Brad Miller.

But on January 17, 1997, Dennis Rodman added to his reputation that continues to live on today. He kicked a cameraman after colliding into him during a game. If you thought Bill Belichick caught some flack for shoving a photographer, Rodman took far more heat. He was suspended 11 games and had to pay the cameraman $200,000.

What’s this all mean? It’s a perfect time for a Dennis Rodman compilation video! This video contains the best of both worlds. It shows Rodman’s tenacious defense and hussling, traits that made him one of my favorite players back in the day. It also shows him simply losing it on the court, removing his shirt, getting T’d up, everything. Happy anniversary Dennis. I’m sure the cameraman’s groin is still a bit sore but we all remember.
