This latest “Become Legendary” commercial from Michael Jordan could be the best out of the four released thus far. I think what Jordan mentions in this spot is true to the heart. “Maybe I made you think my highlights started at the free-throw line and not at the gym.” Could that have been said any better?

According to the Jordan Brand, “There are no Cinderellas.” I ran across this commercial a bunch of times during Championship Week and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do every time it comes on. The Jordan commercials have been spectacular as of late. This spot is why I am so in love with not only Nike’s advertising, but Jordan’s as well. Enjoy!

Over the years, the Jordan brand has turned into something unthinkable. What started as a shoe designed for an athlete has become mythical in the shoe world. Recently, the Air Jordan XX3’s were released in what could be the final chapter of the most outstanding and unique shoe in the world.
Jordan has decided to release three different color schemes, each with its own look. The design on the image to your right is an argyle one, possibly influenced by the argyle jerseys of North Carolina, although that has not been confirmed.
Recently, the boys from Chapel Hill have worn the second design while playing at the Dean Dome. The type of pattern used on the midsole is similar to the argyle design from the first shoe. A limited edition of these shoes were released to the public in stores only.
The third shoe is white with yet another unique design. The pattern on this shoe consists of tiny M’s, symbolizing Michael. Together, the M’s form a nice blanket on the shoe to give it its final touch.
Jordan wouldn’t release a shoe without some hidden gems to it. If you look closely, the right tongue on the shoe has the Jumpman logo, whereas the left shoe’s tongue has the number 23. If you flip the sneakers over, Jordan’s thumbprint is the bottom sole of the shoe. Pretty crazy! And to top everything off, the Great One’s signature is embossed at the toe cap.
It’s simply unbelievable how His Airness can come out with shoe after shoe, year after year. This shoe is just another example the brand’s style and creativity. Its stylish look helps form one of the finest shoes in the entire Jordan collection.

Joakim Noah is strange.? He doesn’t like haircuts, he hates losing, and apparently he hates Michael Jordan.? “I hated Michael Jordan.” Noah told the press on Friday while talking about his days growing up as a Knicks fan.
Noah, who is projected to go in the top ten in the draft, is heavily rumored to be going to the Bulls at the ninth overall pick.? The irony of the situation?? The Bulls got the pick from the Knicks in the Eddy Curry trade.? How sweet irony is.
It’s no secret that he may be the most emotional and passionate player in the draft.? And while many people, myself included, criticize him for disappearing during games, his emotion and intensity is never lost on the court.? That passion is what will make him millions of dollars in the NBA, and for comedys sake lets hope it’s for a team that he watched dismantle his Knicks year after year in the playoffs during the 1990’s.
I don’t fault Noah for hating Jordan, especially since he seems like the kind of kid who would throw things at the television?while Jordan was burying jumpers over Glen Rice and Allan Houston.? I have my certain hatred for players in sports, and it has nothing to do with my lack of respect for their talent.? Isn’t that what makes a rivalry?? Red Sox fans hate Mariano Rivera with a passion, but I’d be willing to bet if you asked a Sox fan if Rivera was one of the best closers of all-time the answer would be yes.? Millions of people hate Alex Rodriguez but that doesn’t detract from the respect he gets around the league and the fact that he is certainly one of the best hitters in the game right now.? The same applies for Jordan.
Show me where it says that everyone must like Jordan (who is addicted to gambling but we won’t get into that.? so much for a role model) and I’ll show you a fat lie.? Hating players is what builds rivalries and what makes competition so great.? It’s the respect that comes with the hate that makes one’s opinion about a player worthwhile.? Yes, Noah hates Jordan, but I’d be willing to bet you that he respects Jordan more than any other player to ever step on the hard wood.? That’s just the way it works.

If I had to name my two favorite athletes of all time, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan would be pretty high on the list. They’re more than great athletes, they’re absolute icons. Both dominated with not just physical skill, but mental toughness. Both have made millions by wearing a Swoosh. And both were paired together in the Pro-Am at this week’s Wachovia Championship.
Usually, rounds in the Pro-Am consist of groups like Mark O’Meara with two drunk businessmen. This threesome had a little bit more life to it. If you were wondering who the average schmuck playing with Woods and Jordan were, it was Skipper Beck, who also happens to be loaded. Beck owns an import car dealership and is even a minor investor in the Charlotte Bobcats, the organization that Michael Jordan owns a share of. Even the 3rd wheel is a multi-millionaire. That’s not fair.
While this group would have been far more entertaining with Charles Barkley involved in it somehow, Jordan and Woods still put on a show for the huge gallery that followed them. Woods had to deal with Jordan rigging scoreboard games, coughing during his backswing, and kicking his ball off to the tee for a lucky fan to keep. But Tiger was not MJ’s bitch all day. During the round, he scooped up Jordan’s ball with his putter and instead of handing it to him, he threw it in the lake.
With 12 major championships and six NBA Championships in one group, it’d be tough to surpass the star-power that yesterday’s Pro-Am had. It sure beats the threesome that the PGA promoted heavily last year: Phil Mickelson, Brett Favre, and Toby Keith. But to hell with those two. I’d much rather follow the threesome of Hootie Johnson, Billy Packer, and Hilary Clinton. Now that would be some dialogue worth listening to.

In honor of the Bulls sweeping the Heat out of the playoffs, I figure we can reflect on the finest Bull to ever play the game. Does this 2007 Bulls team have a title run in them like the Jordan teams of the 90’s? Maybe. Regardless of whether or not they do, it’s always nice to enjoy His Airness
