Boy I tell ya, I came into the Cell today as jubilent as could be. Couldn’t wait to talk to Kenny about his GREAT trade this afternoon for Cy Young winner Jake Peavy. Lemme tell ya folks, when ya get an opportunity to get a pitcher as quality as Peavy, you just gotta do it. Now, if you’re gonna talk about a competitor for the World Series, you can take the Good Guys and you can PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOOOOAAAAAARD. YES.
I talked to Paulie earlier and daggum he couldn’t CONTAIN his excitement over Jake comin’ to town. Boy I tell ya, when you have Jake, Mark, John, and Gavin headlining your rotation, and Contreras fiddle fartin around, daggum you can’t help but be EXCITED about the Sawx chances at another World title. Clayton Richard? He gone. Aaron Poreda? He gone. But the Good Guys will be okay.
Now listen up folks, it ain’t gonna be a can of corn to take the Central. We still got a whoooooooole lotta work to do. But let me tell you somethin’, when we get the sacks packed full of Sox, we’ll be in the drivers seat, especially with Jake wheelin and dealin on the mound. Jake and Mark, now that’s some DOUBLE.
