Standings Through Week 4
Sonny: 28-28-5
Ryan: 28-28-5
Rich: 22-34-5
Kevin: 22-34-5
Rich: Saints -3.5 over Panthers. While the Saints remain winless, you have to believe that they’ll get it back on track off the bye week. The Panthers, meanwhile, are in a world of trouble. David Carr will be under center again and the Panthers defense has just two sacks this season and has yet to record an interception. I like the Saints issuing a Mardi Gras size beat down on a reeling Panthers team.

Kevin: Saints -3.5 over Panthers
Sonny: Saints -3.5 over Panthers
Ri: Chiefs +2 over Jaguars. If you’re betting this week, avoid this game. You could probably flip a coin and come up with a logical reason to pick one way or the other. I’m going with the Chiefs who are riding high after last week’s win and who have found a potential star in Dwayne Bowe. If the Jaguars want to win this game, they need to shut down Bowe.

K: Jaguars -2 over Chiefs
S: Chiefs +2 over Jaguars
Ri: Redskins -3.5 over Lions. The Lions haven’t won at Fed Ex Field since Henry Ford began making automobiles. And while they are underdogs despite being 3-1, this game seems like the perfect storm. Lets not forget that the Redskins have some offensive weapons of their own and they will be showcased against a sub-par Detroit defense. I like Mr. Chicken Soup, Jason Campbell, to lead the Skins to another victory at Fed Ex.

Ri: Titans -8.5 over Falcons. To everyone’s surprise, Joey Harrington played great last week in a win over the Panthers. This means that Joey Harrington will play like pure crap this week. Heisman can’t string it together for more than 4 quarters and I certainly expect him to be back to his old routine of throwing passes to defenders. And lets not forget that the Titans have that one guy at quarterback. I’ve heard he’s pretty good.

S: Titans -8.5 over Falcons
Ry: Texans -6 over Dolphins. I didn’t think the Dolphins would be very good. But as the only winless team in the AFC, they’re worse than I thought. The defense, initially thought to be this team’s strength, is one of the league’s worst. And yep, Trent Green still sucks. Meanwhile, the Texans are playing some solid football. With Andre Johnson eying a return on Sunday, look for the Fins to get smacked around again.

Ry: Seahawks +6.5 over Steelers. A rematch of Super Bowl XL pits a pair of 3-1 teams. I think this spread is a bit high because the Seahawks have looked solid. The cross-country trip is tough but I think this game is decided by less than a touchdown. Therefore, the Seahawks cover.

S: Steelers -6.5 over Seahawks
Ry: Patriots -17 over Browns. Is there a spread too high for this team to cover? Vegas hasn’t found one yet. I usually hate laying this many points on a team but if there’s a team out there that will cover, it’s the Pats.

K: Cardinals -3.5 over Rams. In two words: Gus Frerotte.

S: Cardinals -3.5 over Rams
K: Giants -4 over Jets. The battle for the Meadowlands should be an interesting one, but I think that the Giants have enough firepower to win this one. Quite simply I think the Giants are the better team in this matchup, especially after their last two victories, which really helped the confidence of Eli Manning.
Ry: Giants -4 over Jets
Ri: Giants -4 over Jets
S: Giants -4 over Jets
K: Colts -10 over Bucs. The Colts have looked sharp this year, and even though they are missing a few players to injuries, I don’t envision them having a problem with the Buccaneers. The famed Cover 2 that the Bucs run is nothing that Peyton Manning can’t handle. In fact, I’ll contest that with good protection, which he will get, he will be able to pick apart that zone far easier than if the Bucs ran man-to-man.

S: Colts -10 over Bucs
K. Broncos (Pick) over Chargers. The Chargers have to get up for this game, don’t they? They don’t have a choice, right? They can’t afford to lose another game to a divisional rival. However as long as Norv Turner is leading this team it’s very very tough to pick them. I don’t think a head coach has ever murdered a team so thoroughly so quickly. Until they prove to mean they can actually win a game, I won’t be picking the Chargers again.

S: Ravens -3.5 over 49ers. Trent Dilfer is the starting quarterback for the 49ers this week. Ray Lewis, Chris McAllister, and Ed Reed are licking their chops as we speak to get their hands on Dilfer. This probably won’t be as close as people think.
Ry: Ravens -3.5 over 49ers
K: Ravens -3.5 over 49ers
Ri: Ravens -3.5 over 49ers
S: Packers -3.5 over Bears. I was at the last Packer home game and saw for myself that the entire city of Green Bay is ready to roll like the 1990’s. Brett Favre hasn’t turned a ball over in who knows how long. The Packers will roll over this disgruntled Bears team.

S: Cowboys -11 over Bills. Buffalo hasn’t hosted a Monday night football game in 13 years! I wonder why? I for one do not see Tony Homo and the Cowboy offense being stopped this week. Take Dallas and take them confidently.
