Sonny’s StyleWatch: 4th of July Fireworks Edition
Posted by sonny on July 4, 2007
Here at Sportable, we are very big fans of the New Era Cap. During the last couple of months, we featured the City Series hat for NBA and MLB teams. However, since it’s the 4th of July and we’re all accustomed to fireworks, New Era decided to put on a show to celebrate America’s pasttime.
There are a few things different about this cap when compared to the previous City Series hats. First off, notice how the outline of the skyline is a mixture of red, white, and blue for the 4th of July. Also, the team logo on the lower right hand corner of the cap is solid white. On the caps that came out before this one, the logo was in the team’s colors.
Finally, the one noticeable feature of the cap is the firework display. Other than the fact that it is simply awesome, the fireworks also come in the traditional 4th of July colors. The Fireworks also appear on the back of the hat with another image of the skyline. The hats are available in both a dark and a white backdrop. However, I reccommend the darker hat for two simple reasons. The fireworks are seen best with a dark background and the white hat will get dirty easily.
If you want to impress your friends with a sharp lid for the rest of the summer, I would highly recommend purchasing this one of a kind hat. Currently, the only cities available are Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. All of the caps can be found at mlbshop.com for a reasonable price of $32.99. Happy 4th of July!
