Why the Spurs are NOT a Dynasty [Winning the Turnover Battle]: Hank is a frequent reader of Sportable and his blog, Winning the Turnover Battle, is a good one. We share the same opinion on the matter of the Spurs now being considered a dynasty. He makes a hell of a point in arguing that the 1999 team was far, far different than the other three. Mario Elie? Avery Johnson? Sean Elliot?
Time for 100% Celtics Draft Mode [Sports in Boston]: Well, the Celtics won’t be landing either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant but they should still be able to land a quality player. Both Al Horford and Corey Brewer will be solid NBA players but they might be intrigued by Chinese prospect Yi Jianlian.
Kevin Durant Wants to Endorse Affordable Shoes [AOL Fanhouse]: It’s hard for Kevin Durant to do anything that isn’t positive these days (besides be pretty weak.) Durant is urging both Nike and Adidas, two major companies vying for Durant’s branding, to create affordable shoes for him. They will be sold in the range of $39 and $69.
Mike Nolan Will Dress Up This Fall [With Leather]: Why don’t more coaches go this route? Both Jack Del Rio and Mike Nolan earned kudos from me when they walked the sidelines in Reebok suits. It looks like Nolan will be able to wear the suit for all eight 49er home games.
