Vincent Lecavalier: The Tampa Bay Lightning star turns 27 today. Lecavalier scored the most goals in the NHL this season with 52. He was a huge part of the Lightning’s Stanley Cup Championship in 2004, when he scored 32 goals in the regular season. He’ll need some big performances down the stretch for the Lightning, who are down 3-2 to the Devils.
Ken Caminiti: The late 1996 National League MVP would have been 44 today. Caminiti hit .326 with 40 homers in 1996, leading the Padres to the National League West title. He later admitted using steroids during his stint with San Diego, an admission that was a major part of the steroids controversy in Major League Baseball.
Ed Belfour: One of the best NHL goalies ever is 42. Eddie the Eagle, currently playing for the Florida Panthers, was recently arrested in Miam for being hammered in public. Belfour ranks third in NHL history with 484 wins, behind just Patrick Roy and Martin Brodeur.
