Sonny’s Stylewatch: NHL All-Star Jerseys

I’m not a big fan of the NHL All Star Game but I do like the skills challenge which is highly entertaining. I caught glimpse of the action last night as the West took on the East in a game with 21 goals. The one thing that caught my eye other then the goal total was the new uniforms.I think it’s pretty cool how hockey calls their jerseys and uniforms sweaters. But next year, you won’t be able to call them sweaters when the entire league will be outfitted in new snug-fitting apparel. We don’t have any pictures of those yet so for now, we’ll talk about the jerseys from last night’s game.
When the Western Conference team walked into their locker room Wednesday afternoon they were greeted with these hanging at their locker. The Eastern Conference walked in to a more romantic color in red. I really like how the NHL logo is on the collar like how it is on NFL jerseys. One of the things that I didn?t like is the insane amount of design on the side of the jerseys. I mean, how many freaking stars do you need on the side? I get the point that it’s the All-Star game.
When it comes down to it I think the jerseys were pretty cool. I am interested to see what the NHL brings out next year but until then, we will just have to wait and see. The one that I would like to see happen is that I hope the Lightning get issued some new gear. Because right now, their jersey just sucks.
