I Love the Bengals

And for that matter, so do the police. Deltha O’Neal made it eight Bengals who have been arrested since last December. I like eight, but I would also like to see them make it a nice round number like ten. Can we convince Carson Palmer to do something stupid? What about punter Kyle Larson? Ryan already addressed that punters have to be crazy, so he seems a perfect fit.

Going down the list of criminal actions by the Bengals becomes basically a lesson in all things illegal. My favorite has to go to guard Eric Steinbach who was charged with boating under the influence. Did he play for the Vikings at one point, or did he learn drinking on a boat from somewhere else?

You have substance abuse and resisting arrest, seemingly standard legal problems in the NFL. Then you have burglary and grand theft by linebacker A.J. Nicholson, which raises the question, why does an NFL player need to steal things? Are the hundreds of thousands you are getting paid not enough? Frostee Rucker proved he is less of a man by beating his girlfriend. Congrats Frostee, you can beat up your girlfriend, how about using that anger on the field instead of in the house.

Chris Henry’s charges could be information for an entire book. Since last December he’s had run-ins with the law five separate times. How this guy is on the football field and not behind bars is honestly beyond me.

O’Neal decided to join this elite fraternity by getting hammered somewhere and driving home. He blew a blood alcohol level of .10, higher than the legal limit of .08. This marks the second arrest in the week, joining teammate Reggie McNeal who was charged with resisting arrest. At this rate maybe we will see those ten arrests I hoped for, after all, the Raiders are coming to town, maybe Sebastian Janikowski can teach them a thing or two, he certainly has some experience.
