NBA Superstars as Little Kids

I couldn’t help but laugh when I came across these pictures. Ever wonder what Dwyane Wade looked like as a little kid? Or KG? While I wasn’t able to locate a couple would-be gems like UCLA’s Lorenzo Mata or Sam Cassell (I’ve always wondered what a baby alien looked like), a few funny ones are still worth mentioning. Kevin Garnett: It appears that KG’s head hasn’t grown since his early days. I’m feeling the Lacoste polo but it’s simply a hilarious picture. You get the vibes that Garnett already knows that he’ll be confined to playing for Minnesota for much of his career. That’s why he’s so pissed off. Wouldn’t you be if you had to share a frontcourt with Mark Madsen or Michael Olowokandi. Garnett’s anger as a young child has translated nicely into the NBA. It’s hard to believe Garnett is now 30 years old. That’s about 25 years without his head growing a single size.

Dwyane Wade: The reigning NBA Champion and MVP of the NBA Finals also came through with a solid picture. Wade’s eye dominates this picture. I simply didn’t know D-Wade had a lazy eye as a kid. Clearly, it hasn’t become as famous as the lazy eye that ESPN’s Stuart Scott has. It’s also not affecting him much. Wade is one of the league’s most popular players, has modeling experience, and is a South Beach celebrity. Plus, he has a sweet bow tie.

Devin Harris: Wait, wait. I thought these were pictures from when they were kids. Not pictures of what they look like now.

Larry Bird: Terrifying, simply terrifying. Doesn’t Bird’s kid picture resemble that of a future criminal? Admit it, it does. I know Bird is a bit older, but what the hell is with the color of the picture? It’s not an 1860s Civil War photo Larry, it’s a school picture from the 1960s. That simply adds to Bird’s creepy aura, which he cemented with short shorts and the occasional mustache.
