Shaq Fu and Child Porn
Posted by ryan on October 23, 2006
Remember when Shaquille O’Neal entered law enforcement? Well, he’s now out in the field working cases against child pornography. Unfortunately, one of his first efforts on duty went about as well as his free throw shooting over the years: not very. Shaq was in on a raid with the special unit called “Blue Ridge Thunder” that battles child pornography. Not only does that unit sound like a really bad 1980s TV show, but they should probably figure out what house is really the culprit. The raid team went to the wrong home because the IP address was traced wrong. Whoops.
First of all, I’m really not sure why Shaq is going on a raid with SWAT when he’s just a volunteer officer. Shouldn’t he be eating at Denny’s with some bored 80 year old man? Volunteers probably don’t roll up into house raids very often. But then again, this is a 4 time NBA Champion and one of the funniest people ever.
I think the Miami Heat would prefer Shaq stay off the volunteer force until he’s retired from active duty in the NBA (crappy pun intended). Also, how terrifying would that image be? The sight of Shaq breaking down a door and storming a house is probably the most terrifying thing I can imagine, especially when I’m innocent of child porn. They better get an autographed jersey and Kazaam DVD out of the deal.

[...] But why the hell is Shaquille O’Neal starting? This is the reason that I hate fan voting. No doubt, Diesel is a legend, both on the court and off it. But Shaq-Fu has played in five games this year. FIVE. That’s all I have to say about that. There needs to be some sort of clause in fan voting to prevent this sort of crap. Unfortunately, Shaq’s selection is going to rob a far more deserving player of a trip to Las Vegas. Eddy Curry (19 PPG, 7 RPG) and Emeka Okafor (15 PPG, 11 RPG, 3 BPG) will probably be sitting at home while Diesel makes an undeserving trip to Sin City. Fans did a better job but there’s still work to be done. [...]
